Favorite plant: Viburnum plicatum var. tomentosum - Doublefile Viburnum. Great shrub with many different uses: screens, borders, massing and can even make a great specimen under certain circumstances. Abundant white flowers in the spring that look especially great against brick buildings and walls. This species in my opinion has the best foliage of all the Viburnums, with a dark green leathery color in the summer and a deep red, almost purple fall color. Finally what makes this plant so great is that it is very hardy, easily transplanted and rarely has problems with disease and insects.
